Parish Council are what is known as the third tier of local government
and we are mainly interested in matters that concern the village and the
surrounding area. Not surprisingly, this means we have to be in close
contact with the other two tiers of local government that serve this
area, the District and the County. If you have a problem with these
Councils, or you simply don't know which one to talk to, talk to us. We

Schools, the Fire Brigade and the Police
Braintree District Council - looks after Planning, Environment,
